During the 2020-2021 academic year, five bachelor’s degrees in English language and literature were awarded at Brescia. In fact, the total output from the degree programs was 400% higher than that of the previous year. Brescia’s English Language and Literature program is designed to prepare graduates for a wide variety of jobs. Alumnae of the program have gone on to find jobs in public service, healthcare, law, advertising, and research.

Brescia’s English Program also gives students an opportunity to explore other subjects. They are able to study the work of writers such as J.R.R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, and more. Additionally, students are able to learn about the history of literature in America, as well as about the role of ethnic minority communities in the creation of modern literature.

Students in the program will be enrolled in on average four modules at a time. This means that they are able to receive guidance from academically recognized professors. It is also recommended that students read journal articles and books to further their knowledge.
